pleasant and quiet stay
warm atmosphere good value friendly staff
The hotel had a warm atmosphere and was quiet. breakfast was filling and offered good value. staff were friendly and helpful which i appreciated. i hope to return next year. I felt the stay was good value for money.
I noticed a lack of maintenance. I could not reduce the radiator's heat. my wife and i had to sleep on top of the bed. It was too hot to sleep in the bed.

The family running the hotel was cute. They were helpful . The hotel has a pool table ready for use. The new owners clearly care about the guest experience.

Underwhelming Stay
general uncleanliness steep stairs
The cleanliness was a real issue. Cobwebs were in multiple areas, and the room felt generally unclean. The lack of a lift was also a major problem. Many guests, myself included, struggled with the steep stairs. This made getting to and from my room quite difficult, particularly with luggage.

i found the staff helpful. they provided a charger when i needed one. they also secured my bike. the team offered local area advice. the location was ideal, close to many attractions. the owners were helpful. nothing seemed too difficult. the rooms were very clean. i had a comfortable bed. i enjoyed a great weekend. it was a very good value for the money. i felt welcome by the new owners. i enjoyed drinks at the hotel. i returned the following day. i again felt very welcome. the owners were friendly.

The hosts displayed a cute attitude, ensuring all guests felt valued. I found the location quite convenient, near many thatched buildings and local pubs. The breakfast offered good value, exceeding expectations with a wide selection. I appreciated the presence of a pool table and games room.
The windows in the bedroom were stuck shut due to layers of paint. I couldn't open them.

damp smell overcooked eggs
The room reeked of damp. I had to keep the windows open (ALL night) despite the noise outside. The breakfast, another MAJOR disappointment, lacked variety. It was the SAME, tired selection every morning. The sausages tasted cheap, and the eggs were ALWAYS overcooked. I ended up skipping breakfast most days to eat elsewhere.
